So my friend Nancy just had another grand baby, this time the grand baby is a girl and her name is Mia! Miss Mia was born on this past September 21st. Once again I took her new born pictures in Nancy's backyard, once again we had great light. Nancy has some great ideas for photography, one being this old chair in which we placed little Mia. I love how the pictures turned out. Now Mia stayed awake for her entire photo session, unlike her cousin Calvin. The mirror shot and this one of the parents holding Mia were Katie's idea. The one of them holding her is one of my favorites.

My friend Nancy asked me if I would be interested in teaching a class on photography? Sure!! Why not! I had so much fun.. The class or as Nancy titled it "Shooting Workshop" was last night. I had six wonderful, attentive students. :-) I spent about an hour and a half going over very important photography tech talk and then we went to the local park and shot away. Thanks Nancy for asking! I can't wait for the opportunity to teach agian. Our beautiful little model, isn't she a doll? Wow, it just looks like we are having a great time! Here are my students! Again, I had such a great time. Hope you all learned something:-)

Miss Molly is our cousin and she is all grown up! She is a senior at Shadow Mountain high school this year. Molly already has plans to go to college so she can become a nurse. Molly is a very sweet, beautiful and smart young lady. Molly posed with her very best girlfriend Becka in some of the pictures. We love you Miss Molly!!

What can I say, this wedding was perfect! Ken and Tina were perfect! They were married at this cute little chapel on September 12, 2009! The reception was held at the beautiful Scottsdale Cottonwoods Resort . I do want to mention how great the staff was at the Cottonwoods, very organized and friendly. Tina looked very beautiful, she had a veil but at the last minute decided not to wear it. If I had her gorgeous hair I wouldn't have worn the veil either, just stunning. Ken was early, so we were able to take lots of pictures before the ceremony and after. I really enjoyed being a part of Ken and Tina's day and wish them a life time of happiness!

Jeff and Alejandra were married on September 6, at the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale , such a beautiful resort. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. First of all remember all that talk of heavy rains over the holiday weekend because of the hurricane? Well we got some rain on Saturday but for this couples Sunday wedding it was perfect! Jeff and Alejandra were referred to me by Mike Kennedy , their wedding officiant. He is such a wonderful man, married my husband and I almost nine years ago. Alejandra has such a beautiful smile and was just so happy! Jeff would comment over and over again on how beautiful Alejandra looked. It was a small wedding with lots of energy. Everyone had a great time!

It has been awhile since I have done new born pictures. Last Friday I had the privilege of taking some pictures of my friend Nancy's brand new grandson Calvin. He was born on this past August 9! Nancy is the perfect example of a beaming grandma. We went ahead and took these pictures outside on her back patio so that we would have all natural light. Calvin slept through the entire photo session. What a sweetheart. This one picture of dad holding Calvin ended up being one of my favorites.
