On this past Sunday I took some high school senior portraits of Emma. My lil sister Kathy is in town and she went with me. It was a great shoot! First of all Emma has an older sister named Candra in which I shot her wedding back in October of 2007(if you have been in my office she is the beautiful blond with the great eyes on my wall). Wendy, Emma's mom, gave me a call to see if I did senior portraits. Of course I said "yes" and the rest is history. Can I just say that Wendy has some beautiful daughters. Just look at Emma, what a stunning young lady. We decided to go to the antique district in Glendale, what great location. Since my sister Kathy went with me on the shoot, I had her go through the images once I was done working them and pick out her favorites. I thought it would be fun to see if she picked the same ones as I would.. NOT. Isn't that funny. At first I was looking over her shoulder and saying "what about that one". Matt and Kate were married on Jan 23 of this year!! They said their vows at Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Mesa and held the reception at Val Vista Lakes . Kate was so cute while getting ready. She was very cool and calm until it was time to go. I believe her exact words were "I'm super scared". Everything was perfect, no reason to be scared at all. It was a beautiful day even though it was suppose to rain! Kate looked absolutely beautiful and Matt very handsome. Bride's are always happy but Kate was extra happy with lots of giggles. I loved watching the two of them. It is such a wonderful moment when the couple realizes they are Married! Matt and Kate are a super sweet couple and I know they will have many years of happiness...

My lovely friend Ana needed someone to fill in for her recently on a maternity shoot, for she is swamped. These are some of my favorites. It was a nice change for me.

I had been looking forward to doing Chris and Christina's engagement pictures, for I knew it would be a fun shoot. When they showed up I was so happy, they looked like they just stepped out of a J. Crew catalog. Now anyone who knows me knows that I love to look at J. Crew for ideas, plus I love the cloths. OK back to Chris and Christina! They are so adorable and just look at how breathtaking Christina is! They will be getting married on March 13 of this year. But get this we are meeting about a week before the wedding to take all the wedding formals. Anywhere we want to go. How exciting. I know. So this first shot is a pose idea from the J. Crew. ;-) While looking around for a place to take pictures I found a pile of leaves. What a great place for pictures. This next image has a filter on it called "Vintage 1973" Not sure why that year? Do you like? This black and white has a eairy feeling to it, don't you think? Now this is fun stuff. Can't wait for the wedding.
