Lazy Oaks Resort Wedding With Ted and Camill

 What a beautiful location Lazy Oaks Resort in Pinetop makes for a wedding.  Thank you Ted and Camill for allowing me the honor of photographing your beautiful wedding. Usually my post read the day was perfect, everything went off without a hitch.  Well I am going to be real honest about Ted and Camill's wedding.  It did not go off without a hitch.  Actually there were a couple things not moving smoothly even before the wedding date but the main thing was that no flowers showed up, at all.  Still not sure of what actually happened with the florist, but it did happen.  This lovely on her game wedding coordinator named Teresa with Classic Events handled the situation like a PRO.  Almost like this wedding was part of a reality tv show and they arranged for no flowers to show just to see how Teresa would handle it.  So once Teresa knew for sure there were no flowers she ran to the local Safeway and grabbed all that she could in the name of baby breaths and anything lime green to match the wedding colors and theme.  Teresa made a bouquet for Camill and all her bridesmaids and decorated the wedding site and reception.  She had all this done just in time for the ceremony to start!  Now lets talk about how graceful Camill and Ted acted.  They really could have let this ruin their day, this was definitely something that is upsetting when you pay for professional service and they do not show without any understandable explanation.  One thing about WEDDINGS is there is no DO over.  It is a very stressful business to be in, no lying.  I get nauseous every time I leave the house to go photograph a wedding, but you gotta show up.  Back to Ted and Camill.  If either of them were stressed or upset ( I happen to know they had to be) the guest didn't know.  I was so proud to witness such grace.  Ted has two beautiful boys and I kept thinking what a great example Ted and Camill were setting for them.  Again WEDDINGS is a one time deal, they did not let the fiasco of the florist take that away from what the day was really about.  Thank you Tracy for second shooting with me on this one and making the road trip to Pinetop that much better.

Ahh Stella

When you get an email from the sister of a past pride asking if you could take pictures of her 6 month old baby girl, you say sure! When she ask you if you can meet at her sister-in-laws house to take the picture because she has a "fun house" you reply yes. Then you show up and see this beautiful baby girl and this incredibly decorated shabby chic house, you burst with excitement inside.. That is just what happened. Elaine emailed me to see if I could take pictures of Stella and asked if we could meet at her sister-in-laws house. Well, you can see for yourself that Stella is beautiful and the house was a photographer's dream. Elaine had all her own idea's for Miss Stella. We had so much fun and Stella was a trooper to say the least. I loved how Stella would smile at her mommy over and over again. She is truly a happy baby. ~George and Catherine~

I met Catherine just about a month before her wedding and truly liked her instantly. When we met she came alone and was so calm about her wedding and what she was looking for. I was pleased she booked me and looked forward to working with her and meeting George. When I got to Catherine's house she was again very calm and taking her time getting ready. That is when I met George for the first time, he to was very calm taking his time getting ready. The wedding was very simple, two people in love getting married. Once the I do's were said the rest of the afternoon looked like the next few images. Giddy, smile's, more smiles of joy. I loved watching them and would get caught up in the moment. Had to remind myself to take pictures:-) Catherine looked so beautiful, very classy and George so handsome, movie star couple status I would say. Again, more smiles, giggles and glances.
